Aselsan Konya Conflict Minerals Policy
Aselsan Konya aims to reach the highest levels of ethics, occupational health & safety and environmental standards together with its suppliers and accepts the following policy regarding the supply of minerals from conflict-affected and high-risk areas.
Conflict minerals such as Tin, Tungsten, Tantalum, Gold etc. Some of the mines are used by our suppliers in the production of some products. Aselsan Konya supports and undertakes to refrain from any actions that contribute to the financing of conflicts and to comply with relevant United Nations sanctions resolutions and, where applicable, local laws implementing these resolutions, and also for our suppliers and business partners to comply with the same.
Aselsan Konya; It expects its suppliers and business partners to fulfill the following issues within the scope of managing risks and exposures related to conflict minerals.
- In order to identify any “Conflict Minerals” in the value chain, smelter, source country, mine location, etc. Working together with suppliers to define
- Taking action to eliminate risks by working with its own suppliers that may have potential risks, and stopping cooperation with suppliers if the risk reduction initiative fails
- Bribe offers, requests, etc. in order to hide or change the origin of minerals. Not taking any action and resisting bribery incentives
- Supporting and contributing to efforts to effectively eliminate money laundering in cases where money laundering is detected in connection with or arising from the illegal taxation of minerals or the forcible taking, trade, distribution, transportation or export of minerals in regions where minerals are traded, transportation routes and access points to mining areas
- Commit to cooperate with suppliers, national or international official authorities, institutions, non-governmental organizations and, if necessary, affected third parties in order to prevent or reduce the risks of adverse effects related to conflict minerals
